GIGABYTE introduces human-centered on-device AI
GIGABYTE introduced a consumer Artificial Intelligence (AI) program centered on human-centered design and on-device intelligence, aimed at bringing AI experiences closer to creators, gamers and everyday users.
The announcement framed a shift from cloud to local execution and emphasized real-time responsiveness, full user control and seamless accessibility as outcomes of on-device processing. It also highlighted real-time responsiveness, full user control and seamless accessibility as attributes of local execution.
GIGABYTE applied human-centered design across its consumer AI lineup by adding switchable, mode-based and user-directed features to limit intrusive automation. GiMATE, the built-in AI agent in GIGABYTE AI gaming laptops, used “Press and Speak” controls for context-aware interaction, while GiMATE Creator and GiMATE Coder responded to user needs for content creation and programming.
X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 combined hardware and software to apply AI for dynamic balancing of performance, power and thermals based on actual usage without manual tuning. The AORUS AI BOX included a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) Selector application that allowed users to assign applications to specific GPUs. GIGABYTE said its AI ecosystem spanned motherboards, graphics cards, AI gaming laptops, OLED gaming monitors and the AI TOP System, scaling across performance tiers and use cases.
GIGABYTE said it placed human-centered design and on-device intelligence at the core of its 2026 plans.
