Eviden Launches Updated GEMMA Platform to Support European Next-Generation 112 and Emergency Response Organizations

Eviden announced the release of GEMMA V9, an updated version of its emergency management platform designed to meet European Next Generation 112 (NG112) standards. This platform introduces new modules specifically aimed at enhancing operations for Emergency Medical Services (Energy Management System (EMS)) and Fire & Rescue organizations.

GEMMA serves Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) and Emergency Response Organizations (EROs), enabling swift and effective emergency response through optimized coordination between command centers and field personnel. Functions include call handling, resource dispatching, and real-time support for first responders throughout emergency situations.

The updated version features capabilities that support multimedia emergency communication, including voice, video, real-time text, and data exchange. This ensures comprehensive interoperability among emergency services across Europe and globally. The EMS module focuses on real-time patient triage and resource allocation, while the Fire & Rescue module improves incident command through geolocation and integrated resource tracking.

“With this new version of GEMMA, we are bringing next-generation public safety to life,” said Bernard Payer, Senior Vice President, Head of Mission-Critical Systems at Eviden, Atos Group. “By integrating NG112-native capabilities and specialized modules for EMS and Fire & Rescue, we are helping emergency organizations enhance collaboration and improve emergency situational intelligence.”

GEMMA V9 reflects Eviden’s commitment to provide a comprehensive platform that connects Emergency Communication Centers (ECCs) and first responders in a unified digital environment. Its flexible architecture supports integration with both legacy systems and modern technologies, aiding public safety agencies in their digital advancement.
