Oracle and Google Cloud announce new partner program for Oracle Database@Google Cloud

Oracle and Google Cloud have announced plans for a partner program, aimed at enabling the resale of Oracle Database@Google Cloud services through their respective partners for the first time. This initiative will also introduce Oracle Base Database Service in a limited preview along with support for Oracle Exadata X11M.

In addition, Oracle Interconnect for Google Cloud is now available for Oracle U.S. Government Cloud (G-Cloud) customers. The new partner program will allow eligible partners to offer these services through the Google Cloud Marketplace, further expanding Oracle Database@Google Cloud's capabilities.

According to Jorge Fernandez, CIO of Banco Actinver, the integration of Oracle Database with Google Cloud's analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools enhances their service offerings. Karan Batta, senior vice president at Oracle, emphasized that the reseller program represents a first for both Oracle and the multicloud market.

Andi Gutmans, from Google Cloud, noted that the collaboration is designed to meet customer needs more effectively. The Oracle Base Database Service will provide features such as automated database lifecycle management and flexible resource scaling.

Oracle and Google Cloud also plan to add 11 new regions in the next 12 months to address growing customer demand, which will enhance accessibility for potential clients across the globe.
