Huawei updates Xinghe Intelligent Network for Northern Africa

At the Huawei Network Summit 2025, Huawei introduced its upgraded Xinghe Intelligent Network offerings for Northern Africa. This development emphasizes AI-powered connectivity with enhancements across various dimensions, including experience, assurance, resilience, and security.

In a keynote address, Richard Wu outlined the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies on the data communication industry, highlighting the company’s initiatives to ensure AI-powered connectivity.

The updated capabilities include the launch of 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) Shield aimed at addressing security concerns in sensitive sectors such as public services and finance. This technology incorporates AI signal scrambling for encryption and aims to prevent data leakage.

The intelligent experience assurance engine from Huawei also provides prioritization for encrypted applications, improving the user experience for critical conferencing services.

In the realm of intelligent Wide Area Network (WAN), Huawei's enhancements can support two-way delay differences of less than 3 microseconds in electric power scenarios, a significant improvement over traditional networks' capabilities.

In government applications, the accuracy of application identification has risen to over 95% utilizing advanced AI feature extraction methodologies.

The Xinghe Intelligent Fabric also integrates new technologies designed to address network configuration errors and enhance the reliability of optical modules, crucial for efficient data center operation. This includes an AI-based simulation technology that optimizes security protocols and improves optical module reliability significantly.

On the security front, Huawei’s revamped Intelligent Network Security Solution implements high detection rates for unknown threats and ensures data recovery through comprehensive endpoint protection.

Huawei also aims to empower partners by providing access to its network AI capabilities, which facilitate quicker issue resolution, reducing typical help desk ticket times.

Looking ahead, Huawei plans to continue its development of AI-powered network solutions and will seek to collaborate with clients in Africa to enhance the digital and intelligent transformation across various sectors.
