Descope said its UK entity was named as a supplier on Government Commercial Agency’s RM1557.15 G-Cloud 15 framework, under Lot 2b (Software as a Service). The designation allows eligible public sector buyers to procure Descope through pre-agreed commercial terms without running a full tender process.
GCA described itself as the UK’s central commercial and procurement organization that connects public and private sectors. The company said the G-Cloud naming supports procurement for buyers including central government departments and their arm’s length bodies, local authorities, NHS trusts, police and other blue light services, and education institutions.
In the UK, the release said public sector identity requirements have changed, including expectations for frictionless, personalized login experiences that use passkeys and multi-factor authentication not dependent on SMS. It also cited pilot efforts involving AI agents and MCP servers, along with delegated access needs that it said traditional identity models were not built for.
Descope described its customer and agentic identity platform as offering capabilities available to UK public sector buyers through G-Cloud 15, including no-code identity flows, B2B and partner IAM with tenant-aware identity experiences, fraud and account takeover prevention, agentic identity management for AI agents connected to applications and APIs, and logging and auditing with event streaming to third-party SIEM platforms. “Government teams are being asked to modernize citizen and partner login, adopt AI agents, and stay compliant with evolving regulations.
