Daily Intelligence Brief: Eviden and Baidu Introduce Enhanced AI Solutions - November 13, 2025

Eviden launched the BullSequana XH3500 supercomputer, designed for High performance computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads. This system aims to improve performance and scale beyond exascale, offering over 80% more electrical power per square meter and a 30% increase in cooling capacity per kilowatt compared to its predecessor, the BullSequana XH3000.

The XH3500 features a modular architecture for customizable configurations and maintains an open design to avoid vendor lock-in. It utilizes Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) systems to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and support heat reuse initiatives. Complementary software optimizes power and resource management in real-time.

Baidu introduced the ERNIE 5.0 model at Baidu World 2025, along with various upgrades to its AI products, including the autonomous ride-hailing service, Apollo Go, which achieved over 17 million rides. The new platform integrates text, images, audio, and video, showcasing Baidu's extensive push into global markets while reinforcing its AI products with advanced capabilities.

Pratt & Whitney opened the European Technology and Innovation Center in Houten, Netherlands, aimed at advancing aircraft propulsion technologies through collaboration between industry and academia.
