Daily Intelligence Brief: Applied Digital, Verizon, SK hynix - October 27, 2025

Applied Digital achieved Ready for Service (RFS) for the first 50 Megawatt (MW) phase of its Polaris Forge 1 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Factory Campus in North Dakota. The facility aims to meet AI infrastructure demand and reflects the company's project delivery capabilities. This phase is part of a fully leased 100 MW facility aligned with CoreWeave, projected to generate $11 billion in lease revenue.

The first building of Polaris Forge 1 marks a significant milestone, with plans to expand capacity to 1 gigawatt (GW) to support AI and High performance computing (HPC) markets. Utilizing liquid cooling technology, the design focuses on optimizing performance and reducing environmental impact. Polaris Forge 1 expects to deliver $2.7 billion in lifecycle cost savings over 30 years.

Verizon Communications announced a commercial fiber agreement with Tillman Global Holdings through Eaton Fiber LLC. This arrangement aims to enhance Verizon’s fiber service offerings to new markets. By targeting expansion outside its Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) footprint, the partnership enhances Verizon's deployment capacity and prepares for future growth opportunities.

Sanjiv Ahuja, CEO of Tillman Global Holdings, noted that this agreement represents an increase in fiber operations and emphasizes a commitment to infrastructure development. Verizon will manage sales and customer service during the network's build phase, ensuring exclusive retail rights for residential services.

At the OCP Global Summit, SK hynix presented its next-generation NAND storage strategy, focusing on the Adaptive Inference Node (AIN) Family of products. Designed for AI workloads, the AIN P, AIN D, and AIN B solutions target performance, density, and bandwidth, respectively. Chun Sung Kim indicated that this product line addresses the increasing data demands of AI applications and emphasizes collaboration for further innovation in the NAND storage market.
