Cye launched a Center of Excellence for Private Equity, aiming to give private equity firms consistent oversight of portfolio cybersecurity exposure across the investment lifecycle. The move centers on an operating model intended to connect assessments and management activities from due diligence through the holding period and sale.

In Cye’s description, private equity firms and their portfolio companies face risk as operational targets for attackers, with deal activity and shared services creating opportunities to affect transactions and information handling. The company said cybersecurity is often handled through point-in-time reviews at individual portfolio companies, leaving firms without a consistent portfolio-wide view of security posture, exposure, and exposure-related improvement over time.

The Center of Excellence is described as the central operating hub for portfolio cybersecurity, standardizing execution and applying cross-portfolio insights and actions. Cye said it combines expert-trained AI-native exposure management through a platform and M&A-related services, using a unified system of record and reporting to support continuous, portfolio-wide oversight.

Cye outlined services for the Center of Excellence that include pre-deal scouting, 360-degree due diligence, a 90-day cyber onboarding and uplift program, continuous exposure management, PE-level management, and exit readiness. “Cybersecurity is becoming a powerful lever for creating enterprise value - not just a cost center to manage,” said Reuven Aronashvili, CEO of Cye.
