CyberRatings.org Removes Paywall, Making All Cybersecurity Product Test Reports Free to Access

CyberRatings.org, a nonprofit organization focused on cybersecurity transparency, announced a new initiative to enhance access to cybersecurity product information. All cybersecurity product test reports, which were previously behind a paywall, are now available for free on the CyberRatings.org website.

This move aims to promote better decision-making regarding cybersecurity by providing avenues for organizations, vendors, analysts, and the wider community to access important data and insights.

CEO Vikram Phatak stated, “A rising tide lifts all boats. By opening access to our reports, we’re inviting the global cybersecurity community to learn from our data, compare results, and collectively improve defenses.” This statement reflects the organization's commitment to an informed community.

The organization believes that this increased transparency strengthens the cybersecurity sector. CyberRatings.org's testing encompasses various categories, including enterprise, cloud, and small business firewalls, security service edge, software-defined wide area networks (SD-WAN), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Protection. The reported data supports organizations in assessing real-world product performance.

Since its establishment, CyberRatings.org has positioned itself as a credible source for independent cybersecurity assessments. Earlier this year, it partnered with NSS Labs to enhance its testing capabilities, further affirming its commitment to reliable, data-driven evaluations.
