Crusoe has introduced Crusoe Spark Liquid, the sixth generation of its modular AI factory platform. The system is meant to expand Crusoe Cloud capacity wherever power and demand exist, and it can be deployed in months rather than years.
Crusoe describes Spark as a key growth engine for Crusoe Cloud, with capacity scaling rapidly and predictably. The units are built in Crusoe's factory, shipped ready to deploy, and brought online at lower cost than conventional construction. Crusoe Spark is already running in production for Crusoe Cloud customers, including Ollama, which runs dedicated workloads on modules powered by renewable solar energy and second-life battery storage.
Crusoe Spark Liquid is engineered for NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 and NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 systems, using closed-loop direct liquid cooling to support up to 3.5MW of compute per unit. The cooling design is non-evaporative and does not consume or evaporate water. Compared with earlier generations, the company cites a fivefold increase in compute density. Units can be deployed in clusters to power AI training and inference at any scale.
The company lists three use cases for the platform: capacity expansion for Crusoe Cloud at new or existing sites, edge deployments that bring compact AI capacity closer to end users for latency-sensitive inference, and sovereign AI in targeted international geographies that help maintain local data privacy regulations. Crusoe also introduced Crusoe Managed RL, a reinforcement learning offering, and Crusoe Managed MLflow, both in private preview.
“Spark Liquid is Crusoe’s sixth generation of modular data centers, taking the best of everything we’ve learned across hundreds of past modular deployments to define a new standard of excellence for liquid-cooled modular computing infrastructure,” said Cully Cavness, Co-founder, President, and Chief Strategy Officer at Crusoe.
“Crusoe is a key partner in how we deliver that. They own the full stack, from power to GPUs, across data centers in the U.S. and Europe,” said Michael Meltzer, Chief Business Officer at Ollama. The companies described plans to continue scaling together on Crusoe Spark, and Crusoe Spark Liquid will join existing production at the company’s Brighton factory in 2027.
