Cognizant and Google Cloud expanded their partnership to speed enterprise adoption of agentic AI. The central addition is a Gemini Frontier Capability Group, which aims to move AI agents from pilot projects into production.

The group responds to rising enterprise demand for scaled AI execution and draws on more than 18,000 dedicated Cognizant associates. It builds on a Gemini practice Cognizant launched in April 2026, and it is designed to help enterprises deploy resilient, enterprise-grade agents that produce measurable business value.

The group intends to deploy a standardized, security-first agentic architecture built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and reinforced with Google Cloud's Model Armor. Its initial engineering focus covers legacy modernization, developer experience, autonomous business process agentification, and frontier cyber defense. Planned solutions include Cognizant's Catalog Support Agent for retail, a Healthcare Agentic Marketplace orchestrated with Neuro San, and multi-agent Order-to-Cash workflows for manufacturing.

Cognizant recently concluded the Build with Gemini workshop with Google Cloud, which more than 55,000 associates completed while building AI agents and applications and earning Gemini skills credentials. In one early proof point, Cognizant integrated Gemini AI models across its software development lifecycle and helped a leading retailer achieve a 40% increase in developer productivity, a 30% reduction in time-to-market, and a 35% cost savings.
