Cognizant and Axis Bank said they completed the go-live of Cognizant’s Application Management Services (AMS) under Axis Bank’s AMS 2.0 initiative. The companies said the program was implemented to support Axis Bank’s application support services and governance objectives.
AMS 2.0 was described as a structured, jointly driven program intended to strengthen delivery governance, improve operational consistency, and accelerate automation adoption across application support services. The PR also linked the initiative to Axis Bank’s broader technology transformation effort and its IT operating model.
The AMS 2.0 model was built on automation-led practices and emphasized governance, compliance, and operational discipline. The program was described as intended to improve service reliability and cost efficiency, while supporting productivity, scalability, and standardized processes across application management.
Under a five-year agreement, Cognizant said it would work with Axis Bank to support systems across Branch and Operations, Cards, Corporate Banking and Treasury, Core Platforms and Payments, Finance and Accounting, Retail and Wholesale Banking, and Data Platforms and Integration. Avinash Raghavendra, Group Head - Information Technology & Retail Operations, Axis Bank, said, “The implementation of AMS 2.0 is part of Axis Bank's efforts to build a more resilient, scalable, and automation enabled operations model. Cognizant has worked closely with the Bank during this transition to support a complex application environment.
