Checkmarx One for Government Receives FedRAMP Moderate Certification
Checkmarx said its Checkmarx One for Government application security platform received FedRAMP Moderate certification and was listed in the FedRAMP Marketplace. The update provides a compliance pathway for federal agencies that use the platform for application security testing and risk management across the software lifecycle.
Checkmarx linked the certification to federal demand for application security capabilities that support secure software development at scale while meeting government security requirements. The company also cited a customer base of more than 100 government agencies using Checkmarx and described common development and security challenges, including fragmented security tooling and compliance requirements.
Checkmarx One for Government is described as an integrated platform that combines Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Software Composition Analysis (SCA), Malicious Package Detection, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Security, Container Security, and Application Security Posture Management (ASPM) within a unified environment. Checkmarx said ASPM provides a consolidated view of application risk across code, open-source dependencies, infrastructure, containers, and cloud environments and supports prioritization and continuous compliance by correlating findings.
Checkmarx said FedRAMP Moderate certification enables adoption of the platform through a streamlined procurement and security review process. In separate remarks, Sandeep Johri, CEO of Checkmarx, said, “Federal agencies making long-term security investments need a platform that provides visibility, governance, and risk-based prioritization across the entire software lifecycle.” Kevin Hayes, Senior Director of Public Sector Sales, said, “This process gave us direct insight into the challenges federal development and security teams specifically face.”
