Checkmarx said it participated in Anthropic’s Project Glasswing, an effort that provides select security organizations access to Mythos for defensive cybersecurity work. The company stated the participation included using Claude Mythos 5 in its vulnerability detection activities.
Checkmarx linked its involvement to a software development pace that it said outpaced application security tooling. It cited a J.P. Morgan analysis that described many exploitations as occurring on or before the day a vulnerability became public, and it said frontier AI models could surface categories of risk already present in code.
Under the Project Glasswing engagement, Checkmarx said it focused on finding and remediating the class of risk described in the release ahead of exploitation. The company also said it aimed to share findings and practices related to how AI affects application security workflows, triage, and disclosure.
