Cato Networks said it achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Competency in AI Security in the Agentic AI category. The designation describes Cato’s capabilities for securing AI interactions that AWS customers rely on.
According to Cato, the AWS Security Competency Program helps customers identify AWS Partners with technical expertise and customer success in securing AWS environments. Cato stated that partners in the AI Security Competency offer solutions and services intended to support the safe deployment of production-grade AI systems.
Cato said its AI Security offering runs on AWS and secures AI built on AWS. It stated that Cato AI Security inspects and protects traffic to and from Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker in real time, using API integration to ingest and govern activity from Bedrock-based workloads.
Cato added that, through that approach, it extends protections across AI services without requiring separate tools for each service. It also said customers can identify unapproved AI use, help prevent sensitive information from being shared with AI tools, and maintain a record of AI activity and security actions.
“Enterprises building AI on AWS need to protect sensitive data and govern how users, applications, and agents interact to enable the innovation and productivity of AI while managing the risks” said Ofir Agasi, chief product officer at Cato Networks. “Achieving this competency recognizes Cato's expertise in helping customers meet those needs. We bring AI security into the same platform that connects and secures the enterprise, giving customers a unified foundation to adopt AI confidently at scale.”
Cato said the competency was part of the AWS Security Competency Program and that it supports safe deployment of production-grade AI systems capable of autonomous reasoning, planning, collaboration, tool use, and execution.
