Broadcom introduced its Brocade Gen 8 Directors and Brocade G820 switch, marking the launch of the first 128G Fibre Channel (FC) platforms tailored for mission-critical workloads and enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. According to Dennis Makishima, vice president and general manager of Brocade Storage Networking at Broadcom, the Gen 8 platforms address evolving threats associated with quantum computing while automating infrastructure management through AI technology.
