Aviz Networks' ONE Center lab gains recognition as OCP Experience Center for SONiC and AI networking

Aviz Networks has secured official recognition from the Open Compute Project (OCP) for its ONE Center Lab as an OCP Experience Center. This facility supports organizations in deploying the Software for Open Networking in the Cloud (SONiC) by providing necessary infrastructure and platform diversity.

The designation establishes the ONE Center as part of the OCP ecosystem, focusing on facilitating validation and automation of SONiC across various network switches aligned with OCP standards. This environment supports testing, interoperability assessments, and operational scalability for SONiC implementations.

The one-stop lab environment includes support for multiple SONiC distributions and broad vendor hardware, including Dell, Cisco, Edgecore, Celestica, and Wistron switches. It also integrates with operating systems such as Nexus-OS and JunOS, as well as Artificial Intelligence (AI) Fabric solutions like NVIDIA Spectrum-X combined with Cumulus. The lab incorporates AI-driven tools developed within the community for automation and insights.

Services offered include detailed Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI) analyses for various SONiC options, validation reports on performance and quality, guided lab tours, and customized migration plans integrating with existing network operations systems. Support ranges from community-level guidance to enterprise Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with rapid response times.

George Tchaparian, CEO of the Open Compute Project, said, “The ONE Center is a key part of the OCP ecosystem and a catalyst for global SONiC adoption. By providing a real-world, community-aligned environment for SONiC validation and automation leveraging OCP Accepted™ and OCP Inspired™ network switches, the ONE Center is enabling the next generation of open, disaggregated networking at scale.” Vishal Shukla, CEO of Aviz Networks, added, “As networks evolve toward an open and AI-first future, there’s no better place to begin your SONiC journey than the OCP + Aviz ONE Center. This is where next-generation networking starts — recognized by a global community of leading companies, supported by nearly every major vendor, and built to give customers access to the best work across the SONiC ecosystem. Whether you're comparing vendors, running POCs, calculating Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), building migration recipes, identifying automation gaps, enabling Artificial Intelligence (AI), or preparing to scale — the ONE Center combines community-driven innovation with Aviz’s enterprise-grade expertise to get you started with confidence.”

Aviz Networks outlined plans to maintain the ONE Center as a bridge between open-source development and enterprise network reliability, focusing on scalable and AI-ready network architectures. The company supports a range of switches and SONiC software editions to provide comprehensive validation and migration resources.
