Atos named a Leader in 2026 ISG agentic AI services report

Summary

Atos, a global provider of AI-powered digital transformation, was recognized as a Leader in the 2026 ISG Provider Lens Agentic AI Services Report. The designation covers agentic AI development and deployment services in the large quadrant at global level. It reflects the company’s ability to build governed, production-grade agentic AI systems that enterprises can rely on.

The designation marks a step up from the Market Challenger position Atos held in 2025. The challenge for organizations is shifting as AI agents take on work inside business processes. Attention is moving from building agents to operating them securely and reliably at enterprise scale. Agents can route work, update records, trigger processes, and interact with business systems, which makes integration, governance, security, and accountability essential.

The evaluation examined how providers build and operate agentic AI across enterprise workflows, including orchestration, system integration, controlled execution, governance, and human oversight. The report identified three strengths in Atos’s approach. The first is the Atos Autonomous Data Engineer (ADE), which divides data engineering activities into specialized agent functions for analysis, modeling, transformation, evaluation, and governance.

The second is workflow and system integration, which links AI decision-making to downstream enterprise systems across routing, triage, security, data, and engineering workflows. The third is an agent assurance foundation that embeds security, access controls, autonomy boundaries, risk management, and performance monitoring across the agent lifecycle.

As a vendor-neutral integrator, Atos connects AI agents across heterogeneous enterprise environments, including ERP, ITSM, cloud, legacy, and data estates. Gowtham Kumar Sampath, Principal Analyst, and Sushree Acharya, Senior Analyst at ISG, said: “Atos engineers agentic systems around governed enterprise execution, connecting AI decisions with workflows, data and business systems while maintaining defined control boundaries for delegated operational work.”

Jennifer Ferrara, Head of AI at Atos, said: “Enterprises don’t need more AI pilots. They need agents they can trust with real work. Being identified as a Leader by ISG, one year after being positioned as a Market Challenger, reflects our maturity in engineering agentic AI for governed execution: connecting AI decisions to the workflows, data and systems that run the business, with clear control boundaries.”
