ASUS releases 2026 Future of SMB Report on AI PCs

ASUS released its 2026 Future of SMB Report, which focuses on how small and medium-sized businesses in the United States use AI PCs and related capabilities to address productivity and resilience. The company presented the findings alongside adoption and outcome figures intended to connect AI readiness with reported operational results.

The report said nearly half of US small businesses (47%) reported readiness to adopt AI technology, and among those that had already adopted, 68% reported measurable improvements in productivity and efficiency. It framed the review around five areas the report described as shaping SMB competitiveness, including workforce readiness for AI, cybersecurity resilience, and IT management maturity.

In the report’s description, the five pillars were tied to the evolving global workplace, workforce readiness for AI, competitive positioning against larger enterprises, cybersecurity resilience, and IT management maturity. The report also said it included US and global benchmarks and regional comparisons across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

ASUS attributed the work to its 2026 Future of SMB Report and positioned it as part of a National Small Business Week release. Shawn Chang, General Manager, System Business Group, ASUS North America, said, “Small businesses are the backbone of the US economy, and today’s data makes clear they are not waiting on the sidelines,” adding, “The small businesses gaining the most ground right now are the ones who target workflow, prove the value, and build from there. This report is designed to give SMB owners a roadmap of what’s working and how to get started.” The company also described its Expert Series as combining AI-powered productivity features, enterprise-grade security, and military-grade durability, alongside business solutions for SMBs.

The release said the full ASUS 2026 Future of SMB Report was available for download and that ASUS Expert Series and related business solutions were intended to support SMBs in adopting AI.
