Arelion connects OpenColo's Santa Clara data center to its North American AI superhighway
Arelion deployed a new Point-of-Presence (Points of Presence (PoP)) at OpenColo's Santa Clara data center, enhancing connectivity options for enterprises and wholesale operators. This deployment connects OpenColo's customers to Arelion's Internet Protocol (IP) backbone, facilitating access to a variety of services vital for sectors such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud infrastructure.
The new Points of Presence (PoP) enables low-latency service delivery, addressing the needs of enterprises requiring robust bandwidth for their applications. The Santa Clara site, which has 71,000 square feet of space and 2N power redundancy, represents a key element of Arelion’s strategy in the tech-centric region of Silicon Valley.
“Our expansion in one of California's primary technology hubs enhances the diversity of our North American network, enabling us to provide OpenColo's customers with high-capacity connectivity underpinned by industry-leading customer service,” said Adversarial Robustness Test (ART) Kazmierczak, Director of Strategic Sales and Network Development at Arelion. This collaboration is positioned to support the increasing investment in AI and cloud solutions among enterprises.
OpenColo, operational for over 20 years, offers colocation and cloud services from its center in Santa Clara, which has become a core location for data center growth driven by AI services. The enterprise AI market is projected to expand significantly, emphasizing the growing need for low-latency access supportive of AI training and inference workloads.
Arelion has built a reputation for customer service, maintaining a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 70, which reflects its commitment to providing reliable service delivery. Scott Brookshire, CTO and Co-founder of OpenColo, highlighted that this PoP will enable the collaboration needed to support customer applications across various markets effectively.
