Arctic Wolf partners with Databricks to enhance Aurora Platform's capabilities

The Aurora Platform represents a substantial open Security Operations (SecOps) platform designed for extensive scalability and rapid threat detection capabilities.

Arctic Wolf® announced a partnership with Databricks to enhance the scalability of the Arctic Wolf® Aurora Platform. By integrating the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform into its operations, Arctic Wolf aims to improve its ability to process extensive volumes of security telemetry in real time, offering improved security outcomes for a global client base.

As organizations deploy more security tools, the associated telemetry increases significantly. Management of this complex data presents challenges in threat detection and timely response. Arctic Wolf addresses these issues through the Aurora Platform, which processes over eight trillion security observations weekly and more than 300 petabytes of data each year. The integration with Databricks enhances the platform's capability to aggregate telemetry from various sources, supporting Arctic Wolf’s AI-powered SecOps Center, which serves over 10,000 clients worldwide.

The foundation of this collaboration leverages Alpha Artificial Intelligence (AI), which utilizes insights from extensive operational experience to minimize alert fatigue and prioritize significant threats. “Modern cybersecurity is a data scale problem,” said Dan Schiappa, President of Technology and Services at Arctic Wolf. This partnership allows for improved harnessing of diverse security datasets, facilitating enhanced threat protection for clients.

Omar Khawaja, Databricks Field CISO, emphasized the importance of a data architecture capable of agile responses in SecOps. The collaboration positions Arctic Wolf to fully utilize its open cybersecurity telemetry, optimizing operational efficiencies.

The secure lakehouse architecture from the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform ensures unified security telemetry while maintaining enterprise-level security and compliance. This partnership supports Arctic Wolf's objective to minimize cyber risks and assures customers of robust security measures.
