VIAVI Solutions integrates RF Viewer into OneAdvisor 800 Wireless

VIAVI Solutions integrated RF Viewer, an Augmented Reality (AR) tool developed with Verizon Wireless, into its OneAdvisor 800 Wireless test platform to give field personnel clearer visibility of radio frequency conditions.

The company said RF Viewer was designed to address telecommunications, network deployment, smart building design and RF safety assessments, and that the addition extended the testing capabilities available through OneAdvisor 800 Wireless.

RF Viewer overlays signal strength information directly onto a live video feed, providing intuitive, real-time visibility of RF emissions and enabling identification of the location, intensity and distribution of signals; the tool also provides live AR overlays, real-time diagnostics for troubleshooting and a user-friendly interface.

VIAVI developed RF Viewer in close collaboration with Verizon Wireless and integrated it into the OneAdvisor 800 Wireless platform, which the company described as equipped with features from spectrum analysis to interference detection and transport network validation to support diverse testing requirements.
