NASA awards simulation and advanced software services II contract

NASA has awarded a contract to MacLean Engineering & Applied Technologies, LLC to deliver simulation and advanced software services. The contract has a maximum potential value of $150 million and is set to run from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2030.

The Simulation and Advanced Software Services II (SASS II) contract includes capabilities for issuing cost-plus-fixed-fee task orders and firm-fixed-price task orders. The services will support various areas including space vehicle model simulations, robotic manipulator systems, human biomechanical representations, and guidance navigation and control.

Additionally, the contractor will perform simulations of on-board computer systems, analyze astronomical object surface interactions, and provide graphical support for simulation visualization. Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) training systems will also be developed as part of the contract responsibilities. Major subcontractors include Tietronix Software Inc. and VEDO Systems, LLC.
