Mavenir names leadership team and refocuses product strategy

Mavenir named a senior leadership team and reorganized its operating model to further its vision for telco-first, cloud-native, AI-by-design networks.

The change followed a recent recapitalization and aligned with a refreshed product strategy that emphasized mobile core, AI-enabled automation, and cloud-native platforms.

The company presented an Artificial Intelligence (AI) roadmap that described a transition from AI-integrated networks, where AI applied to specific functions, to AI-native networks that embedded intelligence into core architecture for full automation, real-time optimization, and industrial-scale monetization. To support execution, it realigned into two integrated business segments covering packet core, messaging and security, and voice and radio access technologies, supported by platform and cloud technologies and business solutions.

Mavenir appointed Uli Dopfer as executive vice president and chief financial officer; Dejan Leskaroski as executive vice president and chief revenue officer; Michael Cooper as executive vice president and general manager for packet core, security and messaging; Santhosh Kumar as executive vice president and general manager for platform and cloud; Sachin Karkala as executive vice president and general manager for Integrated Maritime Surveillance (IMS) and Radio Access Network (RAN); and Sandeep Singh as senior vice president and general manager for business solutions. Pardeep Kohli, Bejoy Pankajakshan, BG Kumar, Chuck Gilbert, Brandon Larson, and Ilia Abramov remained in their current roles.

Terry Hungle, Bahram Jalalizadeh, Ashok Khuntia, and Anup Mahajan were set to transition from their roles at the end of January 2026; Terry would continue as Special Advisor to the Board and Bahram would remain engaged as a consultant.

Mavenir described plans to pursue the transition from AI-integrated to AI-native networks.
