iboss launches SSPM in its Zero Trust SASE platform

iboss introduced a new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Security Posture Management capability called SSPM that integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) analysis into its Zero Trust Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) cloud security platform to expose misconfigurations, support Zero Trust strategies, and reduce breach risk.

As organizations shifted productivity and collaboration into SaaS applications, sensitive information increasingly resided inside productivity suites, file sharing tools, and CRM systems rather than traditional data centers. Security and IT teams faced fragmented admin consoles, thousands of configuration options, and ongoing user and sharing changes that manual reviews, scripts, and periodic audits could not keep pace with.

SSPM connects to SaaS applications via native APIs to continuously retrieve configuration, permission, and security-relevant metadata and applies AI analysis to detect misconfigurations, excessive access, risky sharing, and other elevated risk conditions. The capability produced a consolidated posture score, explained drivers of posture change, and generated prioritized recommendations and supporting evidence.

Through the iboss Integration Marketplace, customers could connect to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Box, Salesforce, and other supported applications in a few guided steps without deploying new agents or infrastructure. Detailed, application-specific dashboards allowed administrators to review tenant configuration details and to use workflows that marked findings as in progress, resolved, or accepted while tracking remediation with AI-backed context.
