Digital Edge renames Indonesian unit Digital Edge Indonesia

Digital Edge rebranded its Indonesian operations, EDGE Dual Connectivity (DC) (EDGE DC), to Digital Edge Indonesia to align the local business with the broader Digital Edge platform across Asia Pacific and to reflect integration with the regional organization.

The change came as Digital Edge secured USD 325 million from PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) to fund new digital infrastructure builds in Jakarta, refinance an existing BCA facility, and complete EDGE2 in downtown Jakarta; the company was backed by Stonepeak and had previously operated in Indonesia since 2018 serving cloud, financial services, hyperscale, enterprise, and network sectors.

Digital Edge described its Indonesia platform as delivering carrier-neutral digital infrastructure and operating state-of-the-art, energy-efficient data centers with connectivity options; the broader organization provided data center and fiber services across nine countries in Asia Pacific and held more than 1.4GW of secured IT power, while EDGE2 was described as the largest operational data center in downtown Jakarta.

The rebrand was presented as a move to integrate engineering, operational, and service standards across the regional network; the corporate facility was provided to Digital Edge's Indonesia platform comprising the controlled subsidiaries PT Indointernet Tbk (Indonet) and wholly owned PT Ekagrata Data Gemilang (Digital Edge Indonesia).

“Indonesia is one of the most dynamic digital economies in Asia,” said John Freeman, CEO of Digital Edge. “The rebrand is more than a name change – it reflects our integration into a regional platform that combines global standards with deep local expertise. Our commitment to reliability, speed, and operational excellence remains unchanged, and we are excited to accelerate growth alongside Indonesia's digital transformation,” said Stephanus Oscar, CEO of Digital Edge Indonesia.

The companies described plans to apply the financing to Jakarta infrastructure builds, to refinance the existing facility and to complete EDGE2.
