ASML partners with Mistral AI, invests €1.3 billion

ASML and Mistral Artificial Intelligence (AI) announced a strategic partnership to bolster product development.

Under the long-term collaboration agreement, the companies will explore AI applications across ASML's product portfolio to enhance delivery and performance.
ASML will invest €1.3 billion in Mistral AI’s Series C funding round and emerge as the lead investor, acquiring approximately 11% ownership in the firm.

ASML President and CEO Christophe Fouquet indicated that the partnership aims to create tangible benefits for customers through the development of AI-enabled products, while Mistral AI CEO Arthur Mensch emphasized the alignment of expertise and capabilities to bolster innovation in the semiconductor and AI sectors.

ASML will also secure a position on Mistral AI's Strategic Committee, with CFO Roger Dassen taking on this advisory role to guide Mistral AI's strategic direction.
