Amazon Web Services has been named Lead Sponsor of the Operational Excellence in Oil and Gas Summit, and senior representatives from the company will join the 2026 speaker lineup. The event is intended to help oil and gas leaders run safer, more efficient, and higher-performing operations.
The summit runs November 3-5 in Houston, Texas. Its agenda lists challenges such as building an AI-ready organization, balancing production growth with cost discipline, and moving past digitalization to orchestrate end-to-end processes. The venue will host more than 50 speakers, over 200 industry leaders, and more than 20 technology providers.
Agenda topics also include unlocking the full potential of assets, aligning workforce skills development with organizational objectives, and digitizing safety procedures across every level of the workforce. Several sessions address agentic AI as a way to reimagine end-to-end business processes across energy.
AWS speakers include Jay Cao, Global Head of Industry Partnerships and Solutions, Energy and Utilities at AWS, who will present the session Agentic Transformation in Energy Operations. Kim Padeletti, Global Head, Energy Data and AI Platforms at AWS, will moderate a panel on where AI can produce the greatest operational value across oil and gas.
AWS will also host an invitation-only executive boardroom on November 3 titled Accelerating Operational Excellence: AI and Cloud Strategies for Energy Leaders. Vice presidents and C-suite attendees will benchmark approaches, review a real-world case study, and exchange ideas on using AI and cloud technologies to produce more at lower cost and lower risk.
Organizations scheduled to speak in the boardroom include Phillips 66, Equinor, Weatherford, Woodside Energy, Halliburton-Landmark, and Baker Hughes. Sponsorship packages covering thought leadership, branding, and networking remain available, with limited opportunities left. Registration is open ahead of the November event.
