Akeyless names Yael Fainaro chief strategy officer to expand ecosystem

Akeyless hired Yael Fainaro as Chief Strategy Officer, assigning her responsibility for strategic partnerships and ecosystem expansion. The appointment came as the company described increasing operational needs for identity security tied to AI-driven machine identities.

In its update, Akeyless cited an increase in non-human identities that operate across cloud, SaaS, and internal systems. The company said it supports identity transactions at scale and referenced enterprise adoption, including Fortune 500 customers.

According to the company, its platform uses a cloud-native zero-knowledge architecture for dynamic, agentic-scale environments. Akeyless said it provides just-in-time identity creation and cross-cloud federation, and it described controls spanning API, application, and network layers. It also referenced “Distributed Fragments Cryptography™” and “Agentic Runtime Authority” and “Agentic Identity Intelligence.”

Fainaro came from roles including Corporate Development at CyberArk and Cisco, and most recently EVP Security and General Manager Israel at Synamedia, where she was also a customer of Akeyless. Akeyless said it supports more than 130 integrations for identity federation and named platforms and frameworks including LangChain, n8n, AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI, Claude, and custom GPTs.
