Xage Security has been newly named to the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management, placing the identity-based Zero Trust provider within Gartner's assessment of privileged access management vendors.
The company is widening its role in enterprise identity security and extending protection across human, non-human, and agent identities. Privileged access now reaches machines, applications, and AI agents that hold growing access and autonomy, while AI is making attacks faster, more frequent, and more sophisticated.
The platform runs on the Xage Fabric and applies a unified policy and enforcement layer across IT, cloud, data center, edge, and OT environments. Identity-based controls cover users, machines, applications, workloads, and AI agents within those environments.
Xage Extended Privileged Access Management, referred to as XPAM, uses an agentless, distributed architecture. It supports just-in-time, least-privilege access with layered MFA, session controls, credential rotation, and auditable policy enforcement, and it grants remote privileged access without broad VPN access.
XPAM consolidates PAM, secure remote access, MFA and SSO, credential management, and session recording into one approach. Distributed credential vaulting and local policy enforcement maintain protection when connectivity to the cloud or a central site is lost. Privileged access controls apply across users, vendors, machines, applications, AI identities, cloud resources, and OT assets.
“Organizations require a unified approach to govern human and non-human identities across the entire environment, controlling not only who and what can gain access, but also what they can do after access is granted,” said Duncan Greatwood, CEO of Xage Security.
