Vertiv appoints Paul Ryan as EMEA president

Vertiv has appointed Paul Ryan as president for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), effective January 1, 2026. He succeeds Karsten Winther, who will retire on December 31, 2025, after a tenure of notable contributions to the company's growth in the region.

Giordano Albertazzi, CEO of Vertiv, recognized Winther’s leadership as essential in navigating complex market dynamics and fostering customer relationships. Winther will assist in the leadership transition until his retirement.

Paul Ryan brings over 20 years of industry experience, having served as chief procurement officer and leading significant initiatives in procurement and supply chain resilience at Vertiv. Albertazzi expressed confidence in Ryan’s capability to enhance the EMEA region’s success.

In related changes, Patrick Grainey has been named as acting chief procurement officer, reporting to Albertazzi, while Vertiv begins the search for a new chief procurement officer.
