Utimaco Integrates Enterprise Secure Key Manager With VAST AI OS

Utimaco joined the VAST Cosmos Community as a Technology Partner, linking its Enterprise Secure Key Manager with the VAST AI Operating System. The integration was positioned around how organizations handle encryption keys for AI data used in modern environments.

Utimaco said the use of partner integrations supports building, validating, delivering, and scaling AI-ready solutions across the data center, cloud, and at the edge, framed as part of “AI-ready” operations. VAST Data also referenced validated integrations in the context of production AI deployment.

The collaboration describes an architecture where Utimaco integrates with the VAST Data AI OS so that encryption keys that protect AI datasets, models, and workloads are centrally managed. It states that the design maintains “strict separation between encryption keys and the data they protect” and references secure key lifecycle management, centralized key control, and secure key storage, auditing, and policy enforcement.

Utimaco’s Enterprise Secure Key Manager and the VAST AI Operating System were presented as the combined validated solution, with centralized key control across distributed AI infrastructure. Utimaco also described lifecycle management for encryption keys used to protect sensitive AI data, and it included claims covering scalability and resilience, including availability in disaster recovery scenarios.
