Tencent Cloud, the cloud business of Tencent, introduced Tencent Cloud DataBuddy as a managed, agent-native Data + AI workbench product. The company said the offering integrated intelligent agents into its platform to support business logic execution within a governed framework.
In addition to DataBuddy, Tencent Cloud described Tencent CodeBuddy and WorkBuddy as assistant-class products. The company said DataBuddy was built for data engineering, data governance, data analytics, and data science scenarios.
Tencent Cloud said DataBuddy used three core foundations: Unity Semantics, an Agent Runtime layer, and OneOps. Unity Semantics was described as a business semantic layer, while the Agent Runtime layer enabled enterprises to run AI agents with governance, auditability, and data controls. OneOps was described as unifying DataOps, MLOps, and AIOps in one platform.
Tencent Cloud said DataBuddy supported four scenarios, including end-to-end data engineering pipeline delivery from a single natural-language request with self-healing, and data governance health checks across metadata, lineage, quality, and security. For data analytics, Tencent Cloud described conversational insights with automated root-cause analysis, and for data science, it described data and AI on one foundation that reduced model deployment time from 30 days to 7. Tencent Cloud said DataBuddy was available in China, Thailand, South Korea, and Indonesia, with additional rollouts in Europe, North America, and South America.
