Teleport Introduces Identity Security Tools for Agent Trust
Teleport said it expanded its Identity Security platform with three new capabilities focused on keeping autonomous agent activity within defined boundaries. The update addressed how agent behavior can be evaluated against declared objectives as agents took on operational responsibilities inside production infrastructure.
Teleport’s announcement followed its white paper “From Zero Trust to Agent Trust,” which said zero trust principles were necessary but insufficient for governing agents operating at scale. The paper extended three core zero trust principles into three agent trust principles: verify explicitly and enforce continuously, use least privileged access and bound collective autonomy, and assume breach and assume misalignment.
In the expanded platform, Beams Session Summaries summarized an AI agent’s actions, including identity, privileges, tool and API calls, LLM prompts, responses, and reasoning, into a short human-readable summary. Agentic Classifiers provided policy for humans, agents, or groups of agents to be evaluated against company specific criteria. Risk Scoring automatically summarized SSH, Kubernetes, and database sessions, classified them by risk level, and mapped actions to the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
Teleport said the capabilities worked through Beams, its trusted runtime for agents, in concert with its Identity Security platform. Ben Arent, Director of Product at Teleport, said, “The capabilities we're announcing today are the operational harness for agent trust: they let enterprises see what an agent actually did, classify whether that behavior is expected, and score the risk of what it might do next.” The company previewed the capabilities at Black Hat USA 2026 and said they would be available for hands-on customer experience this fall.
