Shift5 awarded NAVAIR contract for V-22 Osprey
Shift5 has announced a contract with the U.S. Navy to assess predictive maintenance capabilities on V-22 Ospreys used by the Marine Corps Operational Test Squadron. The contract, facilitated by Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), will allow the team to evaluate continuous Operational technology (OT) data monitoring, serial bus data capture, and establish maintenance detection rules.
Josh Lospinoso, CEO and co-founder of Shift5, stated, “When we think about the future fight, fleet optimization remains central to our success. The V-22 Osprey is a highly innovative and versatile workhorse that will continue to serve a critical role in-domain. We're proud to demonstrate how our OT monitoring capabilities can enhance safety margin and asset reliability through data-driven decision-making.”
This collaboration focuses on improving data insights and maintenance processes for military aviation assets.
