SEALSQ Majority-Owned Wecan Group to List WECAN Token on SwissBorg

Companies mentioned

SEALSQ Corp said its majority-owned subsidiary, Wecan Group SA, entered a strategic partnership with SwissBorg, a Swiss digital-asset platform. The companies outlined plans for the WECAN token to be listed on SwissBorg, subject to completion of applicable technical, regulatory and compliance procedures.

The release tied the partnership to combining Wecan’s compliance-focused infrastructure with SwissBorg’s regulated platform. It also referenced SEALSQ moving to a majority position in Wecan in June 2026 and a CHF 5 million commitment from SEALQUANTUM, an internal initiative tied to post-quantum and quantum technology capabilities.

Wecan’s platform described in the release automates parts of the compliance lifecycle, including Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering, client onboarding and secure exchange of compliance information. The release also said Wecan’s technology is intended to be integrated with SEALSQ capabilities including post-quantum cryptography, PKI, digital-identity and hardware root-of-trust capabilities.

The organizations stated they were working toward combining those capabilities into quantum-resistant compliance and digital-identity solutions for regulated financial and other regulated industries, as described in the release. “Wecan built a compliance infrastructure that regulated institutions already trust, and SwissBorg built a regulated platform that hundreds of thousands of clients trust. Both were built in Switzerland, under Swiss standards, by teams that believe trust has to be engineered rather than assumed,” said Carlos Moreira, Chairman and CEO of SEALSQ. “Wecan was built on a simple principle: in finance, trust must be verifiable rather than assumed,” said Vincent Pignon, Founder and CEO of Wecan. Forward-looking statements in the release covered expectations about SEALSQ’s business strategy and results, and included statements that actual results could differ.
