ROC achieves MOSIP compliance for biometric solutions

ROC announced the completion of MOSIP compliance for its ROC ABIS and ROC Software Development Kit (SDK) products, enhancing its biometric solutions for national ID systems. This compliance positions ROC as a partner for governments and institutions seeking to implement efficient digital identity frameworks.

The Modular Open-Source Identity Platform (MOSIP) allows countries to establish their own national digital ID systems. ROC's contribution is framed as part of a broader initiative to support developing nations in adopting advanced biometric technologies.

Blake Moore, COO of ROC, emphasized the focus on delivering biometric technologies that fit the changing requirements of global governments. Sanjith Sundaram from MOSIP noted that ROC's expertise can facilitate meaningful implementations of their platform.

ROC ABIS stands out with capabilities aligned to international standards and proven performance in biometric accuracy. The features of the ROC platform include rapid fingerprint matching and high-efficiency iris recognition, among others. These attributes are vital for governments looking to establish or upgrade identity management systems.

Evidently, adopting MOSIP-compliant technologies can reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for government systems, contributing to improved accessibility in digital identity for emerging regions. Scott Swann, ROC’s CEO, stated that integrating ROC products with MOSIP empowers nations to create secure digital identity solutions.
