Relativity to Establish Singapore Entity in Fourth Quarter
Relativity said it planned to establish a Singapore entity in the fourth quarter, citing local hiring and a wider presence in Asia as reasons for the move. The update was shared at RelFest Sydney.
The company tied its expansion plans to what it described as higher data volumes in APAC and increased legal and compliance demands, including cross-border matters. It also referenced increases in whistleblower reports in APAC and data security incidents, along with a rise in freedom of information requests in Australia.
Relativity described continued adoption of RelativityOne and Relativity aiR as customers applied advanced capabilities to analyse complex datasets and handle large-scale productions. It also highlighted AI features and access levels, including aiR Assist in Advanced Access with more than 50 customers, and custom analyses in Advanced Access that define AI analyses through natural language prompts.
At RelFest Sydney, Relativity outlined additional product details, including aiR Assist, custom analyses, and capabilities within aiR for Review and aiR for Case Strategy. The company said KordaMentha completed seven chronologies in approximately five to six hours using aiR Assist and Relativity aiR for Case Strategy.
“At a time when data is exploding, AI is everywhere, and the conversation has shifted from 'should we do this?' to 'how do we do it right?' there's no shortage of complexity,” said Phil Saunders, CEO of Relativity. “It's allowed us to accelerate the way in which we generate our value. It means that we don't need as many physical resources, our cost base is reduced, but also that we can do a better job with the amount of time that we have.” said Adrian Agius, Director of Legal Informatics at Gilbert + Tobin. “Relativity is embedding AI into how legal work gets done -- from data to insight to action -- with the scale and defensibility required in markets like Australia and around the world,” said Chris Brown, Chief Product Officer at Relativity.
