More About GREC Studio is now Offset Architecture – A group of key studio members who have helped shape GREC's work for over two decades are forming Offset Architecture.
Offset Architecture is positioned as a professional architecture practice within the commercial and professional services segment. Enterprise, institutional, and private clients typically engage architecture teams for planning, design development, and documentation of built environment projects. The practice draws on the experience of members who contributed to GREC's work over more than two decades, which informs its approach to design continuity and project delivery.
Architectural practice is generally organized around established frameworks and standards, including local building codes, accessibility requirements, and recognized project delivery methods such as design-bid-build and integrated project delivery. Practices of this kind also rely on building information modeling and computer-aided design tools to coordinate drawings, specifications, and input from structural, mechanical, and electrical consultants. These methods are widely used across the profession and are not specific to any single firm.
Compared with general design consultancies, architecture practices focus on regulatory compliance, coordination with engineering disciplines, and the long-term performance of buildings and sites. Comparisons between practices should be made with care, since scope, specialization, and project type vary considerably by market.
The business significance of this work lies in managing design risk, schedule, and cost across the project lifecycle. For owners and developers, clear documentation and coordinated design reduce rework during construction and support more predictable outcomes for commercial and institutional facilities.
In directory terms, Offset Architecture is listed under professional services with an architecture focus, reflecting its current solution areas of design, planning, and documentation. Details on specific project portfolios or service lines beyond this classification are not described here.
