More About AlticeDo
Altice Dominicana (AlticeDo) operates as a converged telecommunications provider in the Dominican Republic, delivering mobile, fixed, and TV services to residential, business, and institutional customers. For enterprise and government environments, its portfolio centers on connectivity, voice, and managed communication services that support branch connectivity, user mobility, and access to cloud and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications. The company’s consumer offerings share the same network infrastructure as its enterprise services, which allows shared investment in access, transport, and core network domains.
On the mobile side, AlticeDo provides cellular voice and data services that are typically delivered over 3G, 4G/LTE, and, where deployed, later-generation radio access technologies (mobile connectivity). These services support smartphones, tablets, and mobile broadband devices used by business users in the field and remote workers who rely on mobile data for Virtual Private Network (VPN) access, collaboration tools, and corporate applications. Standard protocols and frameworks associated with global mobile networks, such as GSM/UMTS and Long Term Evolution (LTE), underpin roaming, Service Mesh Security (SMS), voice, and data capabilities.
In fixed communications, AlticeDo offers broadband internet access to homes and businesses using cable or fiber-based access technologies (fixed connectivity). For enterprises, this connectivity can be used for primary internet access, backup links, or site-to-site connectivity in conjunction with VPN or Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) platforms provided by the customer or third parties. The fixed network also supports business telephony and trunking services that connect PBXs and unified communications platforms to the public telephone network using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) or traditional voice protocols.
AlticeDo’s pay TV and content services (video distribution) are typically delivered through cable TV or IP-based delivery over broadband connections. In multi-site business environments such as hospitality, healthcare, and retail, these TV services can be integrated into guest entertainment systems, waiting rooms, or digital signage solutions. For residential users, bundled offers combine TV, internet, and fixed voice, with billing and customer management platforms that consolidate services under a single account.
In the enterprise and institutional segment, AlticeDo positions its services as foundational network and communications infrastructure that underpins higher-layer IT solutions. Its offerings map to marketplace categories such as mobile network services, fixed broadband, enterprise internet and data services, and pay TV/content distribution. Enterprise architects and infrastructure leaders typically evaluate AlticeDo in the context of Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity, last-mile internet access, and mobile fleet services, aligning these with their own security, SD-WAN, and cloud strategies.
