Qwilt partners with Corix to enhance content delivery across North America and Europe

Qwilt has announced a partnership with Corix aimed at enhancing content delivery capabilities across North America and Europe. This collaboration enables Corix to utilize Qwilt’s Open Edge technology, allowing for an expansion of network capacity by 6.2Tbps, which will improve performance for millions of end-users.

With Qwilt’s Open Edge technology already deployed in over 1,000 locations serving more than a billion subscribers worldwide, this partnership reinforces its global presence. The collaboration aims to optimize traffic delivery, reducing latency and congestion, thereby providing a seamless experience for users.

Fabio Escorpioni, CEO of Corix Network, emphasized the growing demand for scalable solutions, stating, “By integrating Qwilt’s Open Edge solution, we can efficiently scale our content delivery infrastructure, bringing the best possible performance and reliability to our customers across North America and Europe.” This partnership also opens avenues for Corix to offer premium caching services for content publishers.

Camila Neves, VP LATAM Sales at Qwilt, noted the importance of this partnership in expanding their global Internet Service Providers (ISP) ecosystem. Qwilt has collaborated with over 175 service providers, including major players such as Comcast and Verizon, to implement Open Edge solutions.
