Pall Corporation launches Membralox GP-IC ceramic membrane systems for sustainable food production

Pall Corporation launched the Membralox® GP-IC ceramic membrane systems, a new solution aimed at enhancing sustainable food production. This technology features graduated permeability along the filter's length, which improves processing efficiency, lowers capital and operating costs, and permits recovery of up to 95% of value-add products.

The Membralox GP-IC membranes utilize a high surface area and multi-channel design, offering 45% more filtration capacity than conventional options. This allows for optimized system designs with more compact filter modules, subsequently decreasing both capital and operational expenses.

Ankush Soni, Vice President & General Manager of the Food and Beverage business unit of Pall Corporation, stated, “The unique design of Membralox GP-IC pushes the boundaries of what's possible for ceramic membrane solutions in order to meet the demands of food processors globally.” Pall highlights its expertise within the ceramic membrane sector, anticipating growth in this market segment, projected to reach $21 billion by 2030.
