ONLYOFFICE released version 10.0 of its open-source office suite, adding context-aware AI tools in the document editors, introducing modular Apps, and addressing security issues. The update spans online, desktop, and mobile editors and includes a large set of fixes.

According to the release, ONLYOFFICE 10.0 adds around 50 new features and more than 1,000 fixes across the editors. It also includes a security upgrade that fixes 35 vulnerabilities.

The AI tools are presented through a dedicated AI tab with built-in chat, placed inside the document, spreadsheet, presentation, and PDF editors. The release states that teams can draft, summarize, translate, clean, and format content without leaving the file, and that organizations control how AI is used by choosing models based on quality, speed, and cost. Cloud users can enable ONLYOFFICE AI via OpenRouter, while server deployments can connect any model, including local ones.

ONLYOFFICE 10.0 introduces four free Apps that extend ONLYOFFICE Docs (under AGPL v3): AI Agents, Forms, Files, and Rooms. The release says the Apps add intelligent search, personalized knowledge base and extended reasoning powered by MCP servers, along with Forms for data collection and Rooms for secure collaboration that includes Virtual Data Rooms. The PDF Editor adds metadata removal, customizable annotations, automatic table recognition, and reusable signatures.

“The ONLYOFFICE AI and Apps were created for teams that want to work with AI inside documents while keeping data within their infrastructure,” said ONLYOFFICE. The release also states that the Desktop Editors received a refreshed homepage and redesigned sections, and that free iOS and Android apps added an AI assistant with new providers, AI AutoFill for forms, and voice input.
