NVIDIA has broadened its Isaac open robotics development platform, giving developers additional tools for building general-purpose robots. The company described the aim as shortening the path from data to deployment in real-world settings.

The additions include a reference humanoid, datasets, a runtime and updates to the platform's robot learning framework. Europe's robotics ecosystem, including leaders such as ABB Robotics, Flexion, Hexagon Robotics, Humanoid, KUKA, NEURA Robotics, Sereact and Universal Robots, is building on the platform to advance autonomous robotic systems. Agile ONE SN has drawn interest from institutions including Stanford University and ETH Zurich.

Agile Robots described Agile ONE SN as a full-stack reference humanoid preconfigured with NVIDIA Isaac GR00T and powered by NVIDIA Jetson Thor. The system stands 1.40 meters tall, weighs 40 kilograms and has 31 degrees of freedom, with a 3-kilogram payload per arm. It uses dual WUJI Hand 2 five-finger hands, each with 20 degrees of freedom, 1kHz force control and tactile sensing.

Onboard compute comes from NVIDIA Jetson Thor, which provides 2,070 FP4 teraflops and 128GB of unified memory for onboard reasoning and real-time control. Multimodal sensing includes head and wrist cameras, lidar sensors and inertial measurement units. The NVIDIA Isaac GR00T platform comprises the GR00T foundation model, a workflow from data capture to deployment, and whole-body control for coordinated movement.

NVIDIA Isaac OS, an open source runtime built on NVIDIA Holoscan, connects AI, sensors, controls and robot hardware for real-time performance. Isaac Lab 3.0 is now generally available, with multi-GPU workflows and physics engines including Newton and NVIDIA PhysX.

NVIDIA is also releasing three open source reference workflows for DGX Station, covering GR00T 1.7 refinement, dexterous manipulation training and Cosmos world model post-training. SimReady Central Library, offering more than 2,000 simulation-ready robotics and factory assets, and the Human 1M Dataset, which includes three-view video and 3D hand tracking, are available on Hugging Face.

Agile ONE SN is scheduled to become available in early 2027, with planned integration of on-robot safety protocols with the NVIDIA Halos full-stack safety system for robotics.
