Nord Security renews ISO 27001 certification for NordLayer and NordPass

Nord Security has renewed the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for two products in its business suite, NordLayer and NordPass, confirming their adherence to established international standards for information security management systems. This certification reflects ongoing compliance with requirements related to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.

The certification renewal underlines Nord Security's approach to managing client data and business continuity in alignment with recognized information security standards. Since first obtaining the certification in 2021, both products have undergone annual audits to maintain compliance, demonstrating continuity in their information security management practices.

ISO/IEC 27001 sets out the criteria for establishing, maintaining, and improving an Information Security Management System (ISMS) that focuses on safeguarding data through confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The recent audit for NordLayer and NordPass identified no nonconformities, though some recommendations were noted.

Beyond NordLayer and NordPass, the Nord Security business suite features a third product, NordStellar, a threat exposure management platform launched in 2024. NordStellar has attained System and Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) Type II compliance, joining the other two products in holding this certification status with no exceptions.

The certification renewals follow a pattern of continuous evaluations, with NordLayer and NordPass successfully passing yearly audits since 2021. Nord Security has outlined plans to continue refining its information security management policies and maintaining compliance with applicable standards.
