Nokia recognized as a Visionary in 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Center Switching

Nokia has been recognized as a Visionary in the 2025 Magic Quadrant for Data Center Switching by Gartner, citing Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute. This recognition comes as data center increasingly require reliability, operational ease, and energy efficiency to support evolving workloads, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The Nokia data center switching portfolio encompasses the 7220 and 7250 IXR platforms, the Service Router (SR) Linux Operating System (OS), and an Event-Driven Automation management platform. These solutions are designed to ensure seamless connectivity and high performance for critical applications while enabling customers to streamline network operations through automation.

In a review on Gartner Peer Insights, Nokia holds a 4.7/5 star rating based on customer feedback, with users noting strengths in network capabilities for AI workloads and overall software features. “They provide great solutions addressing some of the key issues such as Networking for AI workloads,” commented a director of IT Services.

Michael Bushong, Nokia's Vice President of Data Center, remarked on the competitive landscape, stating that independent assessments like the Gartner Magic Quadrant provide clarity in a complex market. He added that companies including Microsoft and Lenovo are among those recognizing Nokia's vision for the future of data center networking.

Gartner's Magic Quadrant report analyzes the positions of various providers in key technology markets, dividing them into four quadrants to reflect their strategies and performance.
