Nokia network APIs now available on Google Cloud Marketplace.

Nokia launched three of its network APIs on Google Cloud Marketplace, enhancing accessibility for developers globally. The APIs include Quality of Service (QoS) on Demand, Number Verification, and Device Location Verification, enabling developers to create applications leveraging mobile network capabilities.

Google Cloud Marketplace serves as a central catalog for solutions provided by Google Cloud and its partners, facilitating customer access and application development. With these APIs, developers can integrate Nokia’s offerings into their applications while utilizing the Network as Code platform for standardized access without intricate networking knowledge.

Shkumbin Hamiti, Vice President and Head of Network Monetization Platform, Cloud and Network Services at Nokia, emphasized the significance of this move, stating, “The availability of Nokia APIs on Google Cloud Marketplace is about giving developers easy access and simplified use of trusted network intelligence.” Additional APIs from Nokia are anticipated to be added to the Marketplace in the future.

The Number Verification Application Programming Interface (API) helps authenticate whether a phone number is accurately associated with its user, benefiting sectors like finance and retail to mitigate fraud. Meanwhile, the Device Location Verification API offers a mechanism to authenticate transactions based on device location, which can enhance security in commercial exchanges.

Muninder Singh Sambi, VP and GM of Networking and Security at Google Cloud, remarked, “This collaboration with Nokia empowers developers and enterprises by delivering advanced telecom network capabilities directly through Google Cloud Marketplace.”
