Netskope expands U.S. Federal Advisory Board with former U.S. government leaders

Netskope has expanded its U.S. Federal Advisory Board by appointing three former senior officials from the U.S. Department of Energy, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the U.S. Marine Corps. The additions aim to support Netskope’s engagement with federal entities, particularly in federal civilian and defense organizations facing evolving cybersecurity challenges.

The advisory board contributes strategic perspectives based on extensive federal government experience to guide Netskope’s market approach and product direction. Its members bring insights into government operations and cybersecurity priorities, addressing the requirements of agencies managing critical infrastructure and sensitive data.

The board's new members include Ann Dunkin, who formerly served as Chief Information Officer at the Department of Energy; Jeff Frazier, an ex-FBI Special Agent; and Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Matthew “Jerry” Glavy, who was Deputy Commandant for Information at the Marine Corps. Their backgrounds cover civilian government technology, federal law enforcement, and military operations within digital and cyber domains.

The current configuration of the advisory board is intended to contribute real-world expertise related to Adaptive Incident Response (AIR), Synthetic Environment Analytics (SEA), and cyber command activities. By leveraging their combined experience, Netskope seeks to refine its offerings to better address the cybersecurity posture of federal entities.

Jeff Frazier said, “Every government agency has its own unique challenge when facing cybersecurity risks and threats, with its own custom networks, processes, and mission demands. I am committed to working with Netskope and other members of the Federal Advisory Board to help ensure that our nation's most sensitive data is secure and protected. I applaud Netskope for taking a forward-thinking approach to government cybersecurity.”

In 2024, Netskope GovCloud achieved Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) authorization at Impact Level High. This platform offers federal agencies data and threat protection capabilities across cloud environments, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), web, and private applications, maintaining visibility and control wherever data resides.
