IP Fabric said it expanded its network digital twin platform with new application-aware infrastructure mapping and a redesigned cloud-native data model. The update targets how teams connect application context to network and cloud details when analyzing dependencies and change impact.
According to the company, many data sources involved in AI and automation are fragmented across APM platforms, CMDBs, cloud consoles, network tools, and microsegmentation systems. IP Fabric said its read-only architecture is intended to preserve separation of duties between change execution and validation.
IP Fabric’s application infrastructure mapping introduces applications, workloads, and flows as first-class objects in the platform. Through its hosted MCP server, users and AI agents can query application, network, and cloud context using natural language, with application and workload context supported through a planned native integration with Illumio. The company also said application data can be ingested via CSV or API.
For cloud operations, IP Fabric said its cloud-native model treats VPCs and VNets, subnets, virtual network interfaces, route tables, peerings, and security policies as first-class entities. It also introduced Cloud Consumption Units and described additional enhancements including labels for organizing network objects, broader discovery coverage, deeper NetBox integration, and cloud site separation. “Enterprises want AI and automation to take on more operational work, but neither can be trusted when the underlying data is incomplete or inferred,” said Pavel Bykov, CEO of IP Fabric.
The capabilities were included in IP Fabric version 8.1, which the company said was available now.
