ING selects VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 for private cloud update
Broadcom Inc. and ING have agreed to extend their collaboration by incorporating VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 into ING's private cloud infrastructure. The update supports ING's goal to advance digital services across multiple regions.
Applying VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 aligns with ING's need for a secure and compliant cloud-native environment designed for scalability and multi-region use. This expanded infrastructure aims to facilitate workload mobility and maintain operational consistency under global financial regulatory requirements.
The new environment will build upon ING's existing VMware virtualized setup, utilizing a unified software platform that combines broad capabilities to streamline IT operations. The full VMware portfolio is intended to reduce management complexity and support faster deployment of digital banking products.
As part of the project, professional services from VMware will assist ING’s global IT team with private cloud design, implementation, and ongoing optimization efforts to ensure the environment meets performance and compliance objectives.
